Adaptive Radiation Therapy

By adapting the treatment plan as needed, adaptive radiation therapy (ART) aims to maximize the effectiveness of radiation therapy, improve tumor control, and reduce the risk of side effects. In South Korea, Elekta Unity 1.5 T MR-linac is only available in the department of radiation therapy at Gangnam Severance Hospital, which enables ART based on daily MR imaging. 

We are performing various research investigations to resolve clinical/practical issues with MR-guided radiation therapy as below:

● Topic 1: Processing real-time cine MR images acquired during MR-guided radiation therapy (MRgRT)
