Medical Image Processing
Medical Image Processing plays a crucial role in medical imaging systems and helps healthcare professionals in accurately interpreting images, identifying abnormalities, and making informed decisions for patient care. Deformable image registration (DIR) is an image processing technique that acquires a geometric mapping between images. Therefore, it plays an important role to analyze patient's geometric change over the course of radiation treatment.
We are interested in developing DIR algorithms with the help of artificial intelligence and/or biomechanics. Also, some of image processing techniques, including CBCT scatter correction and fiducial tracking, are based on image registration algorithms.
